Signature Frameworks

The Caribbean Institute of Criminology & Criminal Justice (CICCJ) strengthens institutions, leaders, and systems to drive sustainable community well-being across the Black diaspora. Our work is grounded in evidence, cultural realism, and institutional accountability, with a focus on building structures that can sustain impact over time.

At the core of our practice is B-CORE™ — the Black Community Organizational Resilience Engine — a structured, rights-based framework for organizational transformation that guides institutions in stabilizing governance, aligning leadership, and strengthening systems. Through B-CORE™ and our applied frameworks, CICCJ develops (outlined below)  and implements culturally grounded, evidence-based approaches that strengthen school systems, empower families, support student development, and guide institutions through capacity development and transformation across Canada, the USA, Jamaica, and the Caribbean. the United States, and the wider Black diaspora.

These frameworks are designed in response to real-world challenges and are built around the lived realities of students, educators, families, and communities.

2. EBSIF™ — Educative Behavioral & Social Intervention Framework

EBSIF™ is a whole-school behavioral system that improves student behavior, emotional intelligence, school climate, and teacher well-being.

It replaces punitive discipline with restorative, educative, and structured approaches aligned to children’s developmental needs.

EBSIF™ focuses on:

Emotional intelligence instruction

Social skill-building

Predictable routines and behavior expectations

Teacher support and classroom management tools

Restorative practices and relationship repair

EBSIF™ is designed for high-needs environments and is effective in both Caribbean and diaspora school contexts.

3. JBAEF™ — Jamaica Boys Achievement & Engagement Framework

JBAEF™ addresses the academic, social, emotional, and cultural factors contributing to boys’ underachievement in Jamaica, the Caribbean, and diaspora communities worldwide.

JBAEF™ strengthens boys through:

Identity and belonging

Literacy and learning confidence

Emotional self-regulation

Routines and consistency

Mentorship and positive modelling

Family and community partnership

Restorative relationships and accountability

4. Blueprint for Excellence — School Transformation Model (DCA)

The Blueprint for Excellence is a comprehensive school improvement model designed from the transformation work at Dunrobin Christian Academy (DCA). It integrates leadership, instruction, data use, culture, and student support into a unified system for whole-school change.

The Blueprint emphasizes:

Leadership and governance development

Instructional quality improvement

Data-use literacy and monitoring

Culture, behavior, and emotional support systems

Family and community engagement

Operational efficiency and school climate renewal

This model is applicable to independent schools, public schools, community-based education programs, and system-wide improvement initiatives.
